As an Environmental Advisor I work with our internal client groups to ensure that subsurface water and soil conditions are safe for our future.As a Technical Analyst in Education Programs and Services at the Region of Peel, I coordinate the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) Indoor Water Efficiency Assessment Program as well as the Equipment Replacement Incentive for Restaurants. INDOOR WATER ASSESSMENT PROGRAM The program is aimed at identifying areas of potential average daily water savings that may be achieved through permanent process change.By participating in the assessment program, you can: - Get a report of your water-saving potential. - Get a rebate to help pay for recommended process changes or equipment upgrades. - Reduce your indoor water use and lower future water bills. - Reduce your gas consumption and bills (if the water is heated). - Improve your company’s environmental and social imageStep 1: We conduct a walk-through of your facility to determine areas of potential water savings that could result from a permanent process change. Step 2: We verify your current water use with a flow meter and generate a report.Step 3: Your company completes the recommended process changes and water-saving improvements.Step 4: We confirm your water savings with the same flow meter. Also we calculate your monetary incentive and process your company’s rebate.EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT INCENTIVE FOR RESTAURANTSThe program was created to provide financial incentives for small to medium sized businesses that replace their inefficient equipment with new water-efficient equipment.Install.
