OUTLOUD Multimedia gave me a foot in the door that most people my age don't have. I have done concert reviews, gone to press screenings of films, gotten splattered in fake blood and gore at a Zombie 5k Charity event and written numerous articles involving technological innovations and environmental preservation. I was glad to help a group that was being undeserved in local south Florida's media markets; Teens and Millennials. I learned as I went. I wrote my stories on the idea that one never puts his or her foot in the same river twice. Before working for Outloud I was frustrated with the fact that I couldn't find a Journalism outlet that matched my interests. Outloud, gave me that outlet and I am so greatful to them for that.

As a solutions provider I went and informed people just how important and impressive Fiber Optic technology was to providing high quality television and internet performance. I learned a lot about how telecommunications technology works and learned a lot about myself as well. Despite the fact that the job was solely commission and despite the fact that I was sent to some rough neighborhoods, it was one of the best job experiences of my entire life. What I really took away from the experience was that if you can pitch to a customer from their perspective ( my parents had ordered the U-300 package years before I even got the job.) then they will be more inclined to listen to what you have to say.

After getting this job I learned two things. The first was that I looked pretty good in a kilt, the second was how much work goes into running and maintaining a restaurant. In my short time there I learned how to deal with all manner of people; Snobby, Drunk, Happy go lucky, you name it. I have become a better leader and communicator in the years since I worked at the Tilted Kilt.

Vector Marketing/Cutco Cutlery is one of the for surviving examples of a Great American Brand. My mother was a physical therapist a Jackson Memorial Hospital for 35 years. She loved to cook and would frequently have cooking groups with patients. After retiring, she missed the experience of expressing herself through the palettes of others. When I got the job at Cutco and pitched to her in our living room she jumped at the chance to ditch her worn out kitchen wear and become a culinary powerhouse again. Soon the Jones Effect came into play and many of her former coworkers also wanted a set. The staff at the Miami office were very goal oriented and taught us the importance of providing a high quality product that would last.I had the pleasure of working for Kathy Vasquez Tanaya who was and still is a rock-star in sales and marketing. I was an average Joe before walking into their offices, but I walked out a salesman.
