As a professional educator, I believe children of every race, gender, and ability have the potential to be incredible. Educators must encourage their students to pursue academic and personal success in preparation for the careers and lives they will lead. I would do this by helping them to experience joy in learning, constructively collaborate in diverse groups, and apply their passions to the professional world. As a teacher, I could only achieve these goals by valuing each of my students individually and giving each of them an equal chance to thrive in my classroom. Our world is becoming increasingly connected and, therefore, diverse. There is no room for discrimination. Instead, we must be an example, teaching value in diversity, social morality, responsible thinking, and community servitude.
