This bring us as humanity closer to peace and cooperation.As VP iGIP in Bonn I lead a group of 10 students with the goal to acquire internships at local businesses, which we would then match with competent international students from abroad. Not only did this open up opportunities for international students to find their own challenge in a new and foreign yet safe and supported environment hosted by us in Germany, the team of students I lead also had the chance to learn valuable business and sales skills as well as get the opportunity to interact with a multitude of people from all across our beautiful globe.The greatest learning for me personally in the role of VP iGIP was to see how I act and react as a leader in a team environment, where my decisions had direct and total impact on team performance as well as individual development of every single team member.Leaving yourself open and vulnerable to failure by allowing team members to take responsibility and involve them in solution finding processes was a difficult step to take, but yielded the best results I could have hoped for - for our overall performance and of course for the individual development of us all.#AllesFürDieMember#ItsAllForTheMembers Show less

I was responsible for acquiring new local leads and maintaining existing ones as a part of a 5 person team.Our goal was to locate a local business, convince them of us and our cause and help them to open a new position for an international intern. We would then post this new opportunity on our global network, scout for suitable talents and manage the entire process of getting that intern literally into the office of our new partner. Show less
