As a Food & Beverage Host, you are responsible for seating guests and managing table set-ups to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Food & Beverage Host would also be required to work in all areas of F&B and strive to achieve departmental targets.Specific tasks include - Welcome guests in a polite and friendly mannerCoordinate seating for customers; Up-sell with latest departmental incentives; Manage table set-ups; Able to work in all areas of Food & Beverage including Bar, Restaurant, Room Service and Conference & EventsFollow cash handling procedures; Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner; Ensure compliance of brand standards Strive to achieve departmental targets; Ensure cleanliness of work areas; Comply with hotel security and fire regulations and all health and safety legislation; Comply with local licensing laws; Be environmentally aware; Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

Responsibilities included good customer service, organisation of the bar and bar area. Working as a team to ensure the bar ran smoothly and company targets were met or exceeded. By working for Hilton Sheffield it has given me the opportunity to learn great customer service techniques, as our aim is to make the guest feel welcome, comfortable and ensure they have the most enjoyable stay by giving them the total package (i.e. “the Disney experience”).

Started to work here during my college course. I had many duties such as: Dealing with customers over the phone and face to face. Designing and creating original artworks then manufacturing and fitting final products. Organising stock and procurement.
