I provided IT Consultancy Services (through my own company RSH Computing Ltd) to the AkzoNobel business for 8 years. As well as the daily Operational Support and Server Administration requirements, my project support achievements included:- Aid delivery of Automation/Process Control IT Projects at the manufacturing facility at Ashington, Northumberland.- IT Lead for the decommissioning period at the manufacturing facility at Prudhoe, Northumberland.- Commissioning of IT Infrastructure for the new £120m state-of-the-art plant at Ashington, Northumberland.- Migration project of all business unit ERP activities, processes and data from AS400 to SAP.- Windows 7 rollout and desktop refresh

I set up RSH Computing Ltd in 2009 primarily to provide IT Infrastructure services to AkzoNobel.In September 2010, I also opened a Computer Shop at Dene Workshops in Mickley and provided IT services to Home and Small Business Users in addition to the long term AkzoNobel contract. I drafted in temporary resource as required to provide onsite IT services at customers premises and I also offered a ‘walk-in’ repair centre so customers could bring their computers in to the shop. The most popular services were small business server support, removal of viruses, system re-builds and replacing cracked laptop screens.
