Sivest is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a focus on industrial projects. Depending on the various project requirements, I have worked as a Project Manager, Project Planner and Assistant Project Manager. Some of the exciting large scale projects I have been involved with are the Sappi Woodyard Upgrade, the AlcoNCP Maize to Alchohol Conversion Project, Fry Foods Factory Upgrades, Isegen Phthalate Plant Relocation, AB Sugar Boiler and Turbine Alternator Design Stage Gate and various Project Management training courses.Responsibilities have included project management from Stage 2 to Stage 6, project planning and scheduling, expediting, site construction management.

Cape Town Area, South Africa

Rabie Property Group was the leading property development company in the Western Cape. I was responsible for coordinating and overseeing a portfolio of five developments with a sales value of over a billion Rand. This involved overseeing all activities and processes from the Inception stage through to the Close-Out stage of the projects. My responsibilities included leading an administrative and quality control team as well as appointing and coordinating the contractor and professional, sales and marketing teams. I was responsible for ensuring the developments were profitable, to the required quality standard and completed on time.

Congo

My responsibilities included leading a multicultural team which carried out development & aid programs, including agricultural training, leadership training, construction & maintenance and providing medical accommodation. Responsibilities also included developing proposals for future programs, solving logistical problems, general team management, as well as financial oversight, conflict resolution and interdepartmental coordination.

West Africa

In addition to continuing the maintenance coordinator responsibilities below, I personally assisted with the leadership of a multicultural, multinational team in Togo, Guinea and Congo. As well as this I headed up a partnership between the Sierra Leone Ministry of Health and Mercy Ship, to design and build two medical incinerators. I personally designed it, created the bill of quantities & contract, put it out to tender, managed the construction process and carried out training for medical personnel.

Sierra Leone

I oversaw all construction and maintenance on the facilities used by our teams working away from the ship. I designed and managed the construction of a village school and latrine using local volunteer labour & materials and coordinated an international team of civil engineers carrying out evaluations on the three main referral hospitals of Sierra Leone.
