Began employment for North 38 as a senior in college while working to obtain my degree. Started out as a maintenance associate and moved to a leasing agent position shortly after the start of my employment. North 38 is a student/non-student housing complex with roughly 800 residents staying on the premises. Worked with the community in regard to any issues or concerns brought up around the complex, toured prospective residents in attempt to persuade them to sign varying length lease terms, organizing and filing lease documents of residents, as well as executing various forms of marketing tactics and incentives in order to maintain high occupancy of the facility. Responsible for keeping personal daily logs of activity; tracking and organizing current and prospective residents through spreadsheets in regard to renewal status and lease changes

Hess Orthopedics is an independent practice that focuses on outpatient office visits and surgical procedures. My day-to-day responsibilities included obtaining insurance pre-authorization for patient procedures, updating physician reimbursement documents through Excel, updating patient payments through the EMD software using current ICD codes, processing patient accounts to collections for non-payment, patient intake for scheduled procedures, and other duties as assigned to maximize office efficiency and the patient experience.

Interned under the Patient Experience and Quality Department of Warren Memorial Hospital, a not-for-profit facility within the Valley Health system. Day-to-day operations included attending morning safety calls and huddles, rounding of various departments such as the MSU/ICU, creating Access databases for the input of medical records, event coordination for performance improvement and Patient Experience Week, creating weekly customer service standards used around the facility, exercising the importance of AIDET throughout the departments, creating discharge binders for patient use, as well as creating numerous pamphlets that acted as reference guides for staff to look back on for extended information, 2 of my pamphlets were implemented system-wide across the Valley Health system.
