I began developing my skills and experience as a machinist in high school as my school had a CorePlus program through AJAC (Aerospace joint apprenticeship committee). In this CorePlus program I was taught how to precision machine on a manual mill and lathe, how to make 3D designs on Onshape and Fusion360, and how to properly read geometric dimensioning and tolerancing type blueprints. Through that I got an apprenticeship at Pexco Aerospace in Yakima, Washington where I would work for four months after graduating high school, and would continue to work after my first year in college. In my freshman year at college I picked up a job at the engineering machine shop and worked there the whole year, where I helped upcoming engineers how to to design and produce the parts they wanted to make. During Christmas break when I was back home from college I would spend my break working at the nearby ski resort washing dishes. When I was younger I used to produce and sell Adirondack chairs and go door to door offering lawn mowing services, so I’m real go getter excited to work somewhere new in the Spokane area.
