Ryan Hegarty is an Executive Director and Banker in the Miami office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Ryan works closely with affluent individuals and families to build prosperity in a multitude of ways and help secure their legacy objectives.A thoughtful and creative problem solver, Ryan offers asset management and advisory services to business owners, real estate investors and members of the sports community.As a former professional athlete, Ryan understands that strategic planning and the support of a strong team can significantly enhance the value of potential outcomes. He collaborates with the dedicated specialists throughout the firm to design integrated wealth management approaches that care for the complexities of each client’s financial life.Ryan and his team analyze the impact real estate holdings may have on a client’s overall investment portfolio and present sophisticated credit and lending strategies. For owners of privately held companies, he provides the insight to assist with their succession planning, exit strategies and the structuring of ownership interests.Ryan has been skating since the age of two and was named to the USA Hockey National Development Team while in high school. With his seat at the NHL draft secured, he attended the University of Maine, where he earned a B.S. in Business Management. Upon graduation, Ryan began playing professionally with the National Hockey League and on teams in the United States and Norway.After a successful athletic career, Ryan segued into wealth management at U.S. Trust (now Bank of America Private Bank) and found he had a talent for simplifying financial concepts. In 2020, he joined J.P. Morgan to afford his clients the expansive opportunities and nimble capabilities of an elite financial organization.Ryan and his wife, Maddy, live in Palmetto Bay and are happy to be raising their daughters, Peyton and Cameron, among friends and immediate family. Involved in the community, Ryan serves with Junior Achievement of Miami. He is also a member of the University of Miami Citizens Board and Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club.
