With over 10 years of experience in product design and development, I am a passionate and innovative engineer who strives to deliver high-quality solutions for the automotive industry. I have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a minor in product design, and a proficiency in Japanese. I am currently an Engineering Supervisor at Aisin Technical Center of America, where I lead a team of talented engineers in designing and developing Power Tailgate (PTG) systems for various OEMs.As the team leader for PTG systems, I am responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from concept to production, of PTG Spindle Drive Units, PTG Cinch Latches, PTG Pinch Sensors, and PTG ECU control logic. I collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure that the PTG systems meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and safety. I also leverage my product design skills and domain expertise to create innovative and user-friendly features for the PTG systems, such as automatic control under external loading, which I co-invented and patented. Additionally, I apply my skills in DFMEA, DVP&R, and injection molding to optimize the design and validation of the PTG components.
