Serving at the pleasure of the Authority's Board of Directors, as Executive Director I serve as the Authority’s Chief Administrative Officer. As such, I am responsible to the Board of Directors for the administration of all the Authority’s affairs, the direction of its programs and activities, and the execution and enforcement of the Board’s policies and rules. Essential functions include:• Implementation, administration and compliance of all regulatory programs imposed on or developed by the Authority• Budgeting, receipt, and proper disbursement of and accounting for all Authority funds including revenues, proceeds of bonds, notes, interest, federal, state, and private grants and any other monies that the Authority may receive.• Administration of all agreements including contracts to which the Authority is a party as directed by the Board.• Planning and implementation of capital construction improvements, upgrades, operations, and maintenance activities.• Planning, employing, maintaining, and directing activities of sufficient staff as approved by the Board to meet the Authority’s programs, obligations and policies.• Maintaining Authority public liaison with area governments, private sectors, and citizens to represent the Authority and its programs.

Christiansburg, Va

Started as the Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent, where I was responsible for the overall administration of the Town's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Ultimately I was promoted to Utilities Superintendent, where I was responsible for coordinating and directing the programs and activities of the Utilities Division. The Utilities Division included the WWTF, Wastewater Collections System, Water Distribution System, Utility Locating Program, and all associated programs and personnel. Also assisted with the overall administration of the Town Public Works Department.

Roanoke, Va

Conduct technical, laboratory, storm water, compliance, and biosolids generator inspections of permitted facilities within Virginia. Also provided technical and regulatory assistance to the regulated community to assist with operational problems and assist with compliance where possible.

Greenville, South Carolina, United States

Managed the Eastside Operations, which consisted of four (4) wastewater treatment plants: Taylors, Pelham, Gilder Creek, and Durbin Creek. Assisted the Operations Manager with O&M of the West side facilities when necessary. During my tenure one facility was under design for a major upgrade, two facilities where under construction (including a 150 million dollar expansion at Pelham, and we where planning for the closure of the Taylors facility.

Long story short - I started as a Laboratory Technician with Professional Services Group (PSG) in 1998, during my experience with this contract operations group I grew my wastewater career becoming the Laboratory Director, Pretreatment Coordinator, and finally Assistant Operations Manger. During my PSG became US Filter, who eventually became Veolia Water NA.
