Serves as Assistant Aerial Port Manager/Senior Non-Commissioned Officer In-Charge/Duty Officer of Aerial Port Operations. Responsible for Coordination planning and execution of special interest USTRANSCOM airlift taskings.Ensures adequate ground support for all Contingency, Special Assignment Airlift Missions, and other special interest taskings originating and terminating at March ARB and other off-station locations requiring specialized support. Prepares schedules based on consideration of extreme difficulty and complexity of requirements and assignments such that the experience, qualifications, training, and abilities of the staff are effectively utilized to meet organizational/mission requirements.Ensures processes and management programs are efficient to support staff and work center supervisors. Provides direction and advice regarding policies, procedures, and guidelines. Reviews and structures organization to optimize use of resources and maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Balances workload and provides overall direction and vision to subordinates on a wide range of aerial port and administrative issues. Evaluates requirements for additional resources and balances organization needs with overall mission requirements and resource needs.
