Responsible for providing technical assistance to senior engineering staff in aid ofTVSN, EXPO, Aurora and TV4ME broadcastsDuties include:- Running, terminating and testing network cabling for use in C.A.R.- Checking and reporting on various rack units’ status in C.A.R.- Troubleshooting, resetting and reporting on camera robotics- Readjusting lamps and replacing blown bubbles- Ensuring facility air-conditioning is functioning within limits- Providing technical support and advice to Control Room and Studio Floor staff

Responsible for providing clear and visually appealing coverage of live On-Air Australiaand New Zealand TVSN content.Duties include:- Operating Shotoku camera robotics systems across multiple cameras to effectivelycover action of moving talent and product;- Storing, recalling and activating multiple camera preset moves and positions;- Recording and playing back captured camera vision via HyperDeck;- Framing and re-framing cameras to allow for graphical overlays;- Responding to Directors calls to camera positioning and shots; and- Communicating with Directors to notify of coverage issues and visual interferencefrom set.

Responsible for maintaining technical broadcast standards in audio and vision for liveOn-Air Australia and New Zealand TVSN contentDuties include:- Preparing and maintaining all technical equipment in the Studio and ControlRooms for live broadcast – camera robotics, OCP, audio desk, talk-back, VMU;- Configuring and monitoring On-Air graphics software/hardware and rectifyingproblems;- Setting and mixing audio levels on microphones, VT audio, phone lines and musictracks;- Adjusting OCP settings across multiple cameras to provide consistent visualappearance on-set;- Troubleshooting and fixing technical problems in Control Room and Studio;- Operating studio lighting fixtures and replacing lamps where needed; and- Providing technical assistance to Control Room and Studio Floor staff.

Responsible for the preparation and smooth running of live Australia and New ZealandTVSN broadcast shows from the studio floor.Duties include:- Checking and maintaining microphone and IFB equipment before and duringshows, and assisting talent with application;- Cueing talent and providing counts on VT media;- Adjusting and repositioning cameras in studio space as required;- Identifying and fixing on-set technical issues;- Advising Director and Producer of off-camera proceedings on studio floor; - Liaising with Producers regarding specific actions and timings for shows;- Ensuring all products are in working order and presentable for On-Air; and- Flagging and preventing safety hazards on set – cabling and set pieces

Responsible for maintaining technical broadcast standards on all visual and audioaspects of live shows broadcast on 7TWO, EXPO and online platforms including PTVWebsite, PTV Facebook and EXPO channel.Duties include:- Cue and roll audio to accompany Opener and Closer VT clip for live broadcast;- Setting and mixing audio levels on microphones and pre-recorded clips;- Editing and playing out voice recordings to air;- Routing phone and Skype calls for live broadcast;- Manually adjusting camera shots and iris levels;- Writing and editing text for graphical overlays;- Setting up record of live streaming;- Troubleshooting and fixing technical problems in Control Room and Studio; and- Providing technical support and information to talent.

Responsible for providing support to all departments of the production team ondocumentary shootsDuties included:- Changing lenses, memory cards, batteries, cabling for camera and audioequipment;- Shooting B-roll, pulling focus on moving jib-arm camera, setting marks for actors;- Connecting and installing camera vision return monitors for Directors andProducers;- Blacking out and lighting locations for re-enactments and interviews; and- Data wrangling, logging and archiving rushes.
