Supported the Bike Shop and Cycling Departments of 30 stores across the Southeast region. Oversaw growth of over 100% in Shop department revenue and bicycle sales.Mentored and actively participated in the professional development of 30+ Shop Managers.This role works closely with the Retail Director and market leaders to ensure the consistency and quality of REI’s cycling and snowsports service and sales while identifying and enabling regionally specific offerings. Additionally, the Shop Coordinator drives the productivity and profitability of the Shop and Action Sports departments while heightening the customer experience. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.* As a leader in a region, the Shop Coordinator identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the organization promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.* Monitors operational statistics, reports trends, variances, and issues, and takes appropriate action.* Identifies unique regional opportunities to create new exposure and growth of Shop services and departmental sales.* Analyze and monitor Shop service sales and metrics to track progress and growth, share results with Store Management teams, Retail Operations, and Retail Director when appropriate.* Enables a market inventory mindset for bikes and snowsports hardgoods by coordinating and conducting Intermarket transfers. Monitors and reacts to regional business trends accordingly.* Consults with store management teams on staff recruitment, hiring, and ongoing development.
