  I am a Senior Manager in the Development & Exempt Organizations (DEO) practice where I dedicate my time serving KPMG’s exempt organization clients and assisting them in managing the risks and maximizing the benefits associated with their tax status. I help not-for-profit health systems, community foundations, medical research foundations, supporting organizations, public charities, and family and corporate private foundations with tax compliance issues and representation before the IRS. I perform diagnostic reviews of existing tax policies, develop new policies and procedures to better address exposure areas and review Community Health Needs Assessments and other policies for compliance with IRC Section 501(r). I provide consulting on topics such as unrelated business income, expenditure responsibility, IRC Section 4960 excise tax, the impact of recent tax law changes, payroll and compensation issues, joint ventures and the tax impacts of foreign investments.
