This expertise assisted in removing impaired drivers from the roadways in California. As a Task Force Supervisor, created operational plans to identify areas of travel and transportation for illegal contraband and narcotic transportation. Oversaw all investigations to ensure evidence was properly collected, subjects were interviewed or interrogated appropriately, and the entire investigation was completed effectively. Due to effective leadership, prosecutions at the state and federal levels were obtained on a consistent level.  As a certified K-9 Sergeant, and instructor, trained over 30 police narcotic detection and handler protection dogs with CHP officers. The trained K9 teams were highly successful in locating and removing large quantities of illegal contraband and narcotics.  Established policies and detailed them in departmental manuals to ensure the safety of K9’s while inside parked patrol vehicles.
