My name is Ryan Hunt and I recently graduated Cum Laude from The Isenberg School of Management at The University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Operations and Information Management. I completed a store management internship at Kohls in the summer of 2019. During this internship, I managed a department and utilized my leadership and problem-solving skills to drive an increase in sales compared to the previous year. I would also analyze financial and operational reports on a daily basis to ensure we were on track to hit store goals in key performance metrics. This internship also provided me an opportunity to gain invaluable experience in customer service and as a leader of a team. While going to school full time, I also work in the kitchen at the number one dining commons in the country and serve on the executive board as the Scholarship Chair for the Delta Chi Fraternity. As the Scholarship Chair, I have instituted a new scholarship plan to assist in creating a culture focused on academic achievement, and have established a $200 academic scholarship. I have also hosted weekly study sessions for members of the fraternity and helped our chapter maintain one of the highest fraternity GPAs on campus. My work as Scholarship Chair was recognized by Delta Chi nationals as our chapter was given an award for excellence in scholarship. After graduating, I founded an e-commerce website using Shopify to sell percussion massage guns for athletic performance. This was a great experience as it was exciting to learn new skills and make the most of my time early on in the pandemic. I am currently pursuing a career in supply chain management and employed as a category buyer at Kettle Cuisine.
