Analyze compliance with the Life Safety code and The Joint Commission standards of buildings and various occupancies in the Health Care environment.Manage barrier and opening protective inspection programs.Perform life safety plan reviews including egress system evaluations.Maintain current Life Safety Drawings and equipment inventories of all life safety components.Manage the inspection, testing and maintenance of all life safety and fire safety equipment and components of over 25 buildings.Track deficiencies identified during inspection, testing and maintenance and manage resolution to issues in a timely manner.Manage the permitting process for all fire protection/detection/alarm system downtime and implement approved Fire Watch procedures, as needed.Perform Pre-Construction Risk Assessments [PCRA] to identify potential hazards, deficiencies or safety risks during construction including Interim Life Safety Measures [ILSM]. Develop, update and review policies to align with changing code requirements.Escorts Authorities Having Jurisdiction [AHJ's] such as; The Joint Commission [TJC], Ohio Department of Health [ODH], Insurance representatives, Fire Marshall and local fire department personnel during site inspections or surveys.Educates employees during inspections regarding safety and life safety [OSHA, EPA, NFPA, TJC] & other requirements.Manage the Fire Prevention/Life Safety Subcommittee through which data from the above findings is analyzed and reported to the Environment of Care Committee.
