Promoted to role as a People & Organisation Adviser, due to completion of CIPD Qualification. I am responsible for managing HR Casework and supporting managers with performance management, absences, assessment centres, discipline and grievances. Other duties included leading on various projects, such as reviewing multiple contracts, digitalisation of payslips, TUPEs and leading training and branding on new Human Capital Management System. I support the delivery of equalities training for the Council and developed my own Unconscious Bias Training Course. I also lead the Race Equality Group which is currently reviewing the organisational processes and developing long term solutions for current barriers within the organisation, including occupational segregation.After a restructure in June 2018, we moved to a matrix model with a focus on different HR Specialisms. I initally commenced work within the Organisational Change and Design Team and responsible for development of the competency framework for the whole organisation. In turn this will assist in establishing the organisation’s first succession planning programme. I supported service redesigns across the organisation. I was also responsible for providing advice to managers on job designs, consultation process and supporting organisational change.I now work within the Talent Team and am responsible for working with Recruiting Managers and services to approving and processing vacancies. This includes working closely with services to develop solutions for hard to fill posts, including setting up traineeships. I am currently working as a lead on a project which is looking at redesigning the end to end recruitment process and developing a digital solution, which will look to provide a more efficient ane effective experience for recruiting managers and candidates

I undertook a fixed term role with Aberdeen City Council on Education and Social Care Teams. I was responsible for processing additional hour payments, delegating absence data to the relevant HR Advisers, benchmarking for procedural changes, minute taking and providing the team with administrative and project-based support. Achievements to date include designing and developing a Microsite to increase recruitment figures within the Education Service.
