I migrated to Australia from Scotland in 2009 and have expertise in the government, mining, plumbing services, and gas industries. In addition, I have substantial expertise in delivering infrastructure services in various remote locations, including Rottnest Island, various Western Australian mine sites, and remote Aboriginal communities Tjuntjuntjara, Looma and Kandiwal. This has developed my self-motivation, communication, adaptability, and self-management.In 2014 I commenced working as the Hydraulics and Plumbing Supervisor with the Rottnest Island Authority. Over the past seven years, I have worked with various plumbing services and local government, including the Shire of Mandurah, Shire of Rockingham, The Department of Housing and The Department of Education.Currently, I work remotely on Rottnest Island and oversee the operation, scheduling and delivery of various infrastructure, plumbing, gas, electrical, mechanics, carpenters, painters, garden, and ground team.I face daily challenges that require integrating ageing infrastructure with new modern solutions with future expansion options while sticking to budget requirements. I do this with my creative thinking and exceptional conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Recently I completed over $1 million dollars worth of project management works on Rottnest Island involving electrical, wastewater, potable water, road repairs and building upgrades while carrying out my primary role of maintaining all residential accommodation, commercial buildings, and utility infrastructure.I am actively involved in the community as the Lieutenant of the Rottnest Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service and communicate and partner with the Rottnest Primary School, Rottnest Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service, Royal Flying Doctor Service, residents, clients, and private business owners.📱 Please connect if you would like to learn more.
