At The Conco Companies, I work on multi-million dollar projects from the start of the budgetary process through the awarding phase and onto project completion. Pre Award: During the pre award phase of construction, I am responsible for performing budgets, quantity take-offs and application of pricing to allow for a full and detailed project estimate. Once all of the data has been gathered, I will create and produce a detailed proposal and deliver to the General Contractor. Post Award: Once I have been awarded a project, I will detail schedule of values, negotiate the contract details and produce a detailed project phasing layout for job cost analysis. During construction: I am responsible for producing product submittals, producing RFIs, submitting monthly billings, detailing and requesting Change Orders, face to face detailed meetings with General Contractors and owners to discuss Value Engineering and project details.Apple: For a short time I have been involved at Apple coordinating, scheduling and taking care of the Quality Control aspect of the project. This entails coordinating multiple subcontractors, dealing with inspectors and working closely with the General Contractor to ensure a smooth working flow of the largest construction project to date. I am currently working towards my masters and applying to schools in the area for my Masters in Business Administration. Currently applying to Santa Clara University as well as St. Mary's.

I was responsible for pulling samples of aggregate from various sources in the quarry. Tested asphalt aggregates, Concrete materials and mined aggregates. Ready-mix: Worked on trial batching for up coming ready mix projects. On site, checked trucks and batched materials to make sure that they were up to the level of standards of Teichert Materials by taking cylinders and performing slump test. Worked hands on with Rapid Set materials for a major highway reconstruction.Aggregates: Early morning we would take smiles of the materials that we pulled from the night before and perform the necessary test to ensure that the plant was running at optimum production. Throughout the day we will pul various samples to look over specific products and perform sand equivalence tests, cleanliness values, aggregate gradations and compaction testings.

At WSI Inc I was in charge of document entry and invoice tracking for budgeting purposes. Put together submittal packages for pre-constuction and post contract award. While estimating projects, I worked closely with Subcontractors by writing scopes, checked proposals against the specifications for scope norming. After scopes where justified as compliant, I would hand the project off to our contract team for issuance of subcontracts. In the field I would help form, pour and finish various concrete projects from sideways, foundations and architectural concrete. Enjoyed stamping and performing exposed aggregate concrete finishes. I would also help with carpentry needs that involved framing, finish carpentry, siding, roofing and painting.
