I’m a multidisciplinary educator from Australia, currently living in Dubai. I'm passionate about education, creativity, polymathy, and their intersections with technology.I'm a Director of Music and Performing Arts at an International School in the UAE, where I promote and manage student engagement through collaboration with external organisations and community stakeholders. Digital technology plays a big part in my practice, leveraging its power to maximise engagement, success, and collaboration. I believe we’re lifelong learners and, whether we realise it or not, constantly thirst to know more.  As an educator I’ve seen the best results in students when they follow what ignites their imagination, or when they use their understanding in one discipline to finally succeed in another. Education is going through one of the greatest paradigm shifts in history. There are masses of open resources, fountains of seemingly unlimited information, and the power to connect people on a grand scale. With the right access, one has the power to change the course of their lives, several times over. My background in orchestral and ensemble conducting has helped formed my approach to leadership and mentorship; I aim to share my experiences with colleagues, student teachers, and other lifelong learners through my masterclasses and articles. I've been lucky enough to experience education in an extreme range of demographics, from the impoverished and at risk, to the very wealthy. This has afforded me opportunities to lead both international level orchestras and community music groups.
