Coordinate and execute actions of the analysis to improve performance.Manage development of condition assessment tools inclusive of process/performance monitoring, infrared inspection, vibration monitoring and oil analysis programs.Develop and evaluate budgets and cost benefit analysis in supporting reliability initiatives for condition monitoring, condition assessment tools and maintenance exercises.Develop training materials and programs to promote reliability and maintenance best practice principles.Establish standards for assessments and reporting of asset and maintenance KPI’sLead and/or participate in root cause investigations to capture all causes and required corrective actions for multidiscipline failures.Provide technical support during rig down and emergency situations in an effort to safely and effectively return down assets to operating capacity.

Manage development of scopes of work and budgets for rig modifications, improvements and upgrades for asset functionality, reliability and efficiency improvements for small to large projects.Plan, lead, and manage reliability engineering analysis and maintenance activities focused on machinery and the management, control, and improvement of operation and maintenance processes. Analysis inclusive of reliability centered maintenance analysis (RCMA) and failure modes, effects, and cause analysis (FMEA/FMECA).Lead engineers, technicians, equipment manufactures and construction/maintenance personnel in identification of efficiency and reliability improvements and execute improvements.Develop maintenance guidelines, standards and procedures for Ensco’s offshore drilling assets including drilling systems, marine systems, well control, electrical power and distribution systems, engines, thrusters, dynamic positioning, power management and vessel management systems. Develop condition assessment systems and technologies (e.g. infrared, fluid analysis, vibration and process monitoring) both online condition monitoring equipment and route based.Establish standards for assessments and reporting to provide a clear and consistent product to aid management in planning and strategic decisions for the rig fleet through condition assessment monitoring tools and equipment. Ensure that the assessment program is understood and accepted by operations personnel as a tool to assist in improving rig performance and asset condition.Review corrective maintenance, equipment failures and equipment downtime for common trends and follow-up to ensure the company systems are updated to prevent re-occurrence inclusive of maintenance systems, procedures and equipment re-design.Review vendor bulletins and alerts and advise on actions to take.Perform root cause investigations.

Develop overall MODU shipyard specification inclusive of drill ships, semi-submersible and jack-up rigs focusing on the electrical power systems, dynamic positioning systems, vessel management systems, drilling instrumentation and controls, drilling power systems and safety systems (fire and gas detection and annunciation).Reviewed and Designed modifications to ENSCO’s MODUs including new build drills ships, drill ships, semi-submersibles and jack-up MODUs. Reviews and designs include all electrical and control aspects of drilling and ship services on MODUs. Inclusive of Power systems (emergency and main generation), Protection system, Dynamic Positioning Systems, Power Management Systems, Vessel Management Systems, Propulsion Power and Control Systems, Fire and Gas Monitoring Systems, Drilling Controls and Instrumentation, and Drilling Equipment.Develop equipment specifications for equipment including switchgear, power generation, power panels, transformers, dynamic positioning systems, power management systems, and safety systems (fire and gas detection systems).Resolution of electrical and control equipment failures in ENSCO’S MODU fleet.Develop maintenance standards and define preventive maintenance activities required to prevent loss of revenue due to equipment downtime.Validated MODUs systems for compliance with classification society, flag authority, and consistent with industry “best-practices”.

Engineering and construction oversight of 1650MW of coal fired power plants.
