Served as an infantry rifleman in the United States Marine Corps (honorably discharged). I learned many valuable skills while serving as a squad leader in my platoon. Examples of these skills include leadership, flexability, dependability, integrity, and teamwork.After receiving certification as a wind turbine technician from Kalamazoo Valley Community College, I spent 2.5 years as a wind turbine technician. I preformed preventative maintenance as well as troubleshot a variety of wind turbine generators. I was also given the opportunity to serve as a site safety specialist. This role was important to me as I believe safety is absolutely fundamental to any industry.I have experience working as an HVAC technician, which allowed me to understand and troubleshoot both gas and electrical systems related to heating and cooling. I am currently working as an apprentice power plant operator for Wolverine Power Cooperative. Experienced with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
