After a twisty road in my healthcare career, I find myself in a position that lead me to go to medical school years ago. I am so passionate about preventative medicine and guiding others to find their own healthy lifestyle through their own path. I've been working with Noom as a Health and Wellness Coach since January 2020, and I have worked with thousands of clients. I'm very experienced and comfortable with integrating my medical knowledge with motivation interviewing, change talk, cognitive behavioral therapy skills and unconditional positive regard to partner with clients to allow them to discover their healthiest lifestyle to achieve their health needs and goals. Additionally, I bring exceptional leadership skills to the colleagues I work with to help them also perform to their highest potential. I am active, enthusiastic and always bring a candid attitude when working with both my clients and co-workers. Prior to working with Noom, I was a supervisor with the Quality department with Baxter Healthcare, I have ensured the highest quality Baxter IV fluid and peritoneal dialysis fluid made to patients through critical thinking, problem solving, good communication and teamwork. I adhered to current Good Manufacturing Practices and superb documentation. I helped to integrate regulatory observations into better quality management into Baxter products. Additionally, I managed a team of quality technicians to ensure appropriate product testing.Beginning my career after medical school, I was a Resident Physician in Pediatrics. As a senior resident physician, I played an integral part in overseeing high quality patient care and safety. I supervised the daily plan of care for each patient. I managed a team of 3 to 8 junior residents and medical students who were directly responsible for taking care of patients. I trained the members of my team daily in providing outstanding patient care. I had to ensure great team cohesiveness and resolve problems that arose within the team. I ensured nursing staff carried out physician orders appropriately. I wrote daily notes, prepared reports and provided presentations to the medical and nursing staff. I excelled in ensuring teams were efficient with daily work, and I held that safety comic specially patient safety, was of the utmost importance as medical and form suitable errors lead to physical harm.My road from physician to health coach is unique, but I have found my niche. I am passionate about helping people not fight already established disease, but find health to prevent diseases in the first place.
