I was employed as a Frontline Supervisor in Charge of the day to day operations of the Fleet Services repair facility in Churchill Falls. Duties include supervising 8 to 11 Trades people plus a clerk, depending on the season, to insure our repair work was done in a safe and timely manner. The trades under my supervision were Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians, Automotive Technicians, Welders, Autobody Mechanics, as well as a Clerk. I was responsible for insuring the Employees were kept up to date on all Corporate and Government regulated safety training. My Duties also included insuring that Critical Spare Parts were added to the Warehouse inventory in a timely manner as we received new equipment, and that the quantities were realistic. I assisted the Employees on Technical issues as needed, and coached and mentored on a regular basis. I worked closely with the Fleet Manager to insure our employees were trained in new technologies as training became available. I assisted the Fleet Manager in the selection of replacement equipment, as our fleet aged. I worked closely with the Mobile Equipment Supervisor to insure equipment was serviced and repaired according to the needs of his department. Working closely with the Operations Supervisors, it was my responsibility to insure that the Power Plant excitation and Water Control Structures backup generators were maintained in a constant state of readiness.

I held the position of Compressor and Support Systems Specialist to provide analysis services to customers in Upstream and Midstream oil and gas facilities with problematic natural gas engines and compressors, using the Windrock 6310PA analyzer. Assist the outside sales team to provide in-field training to customer operators on the function of compressors valves and the removal and installation of such. In shop compressor component rebuilding and field maintenance and repair of natural gas compressors and their respective drivers. Repaired and maintained engines, compressors and generators from most manufacturers in a large service area.

I was employed as a Field Service Technician. During this time; my main duties were the maintenance and repair of rotating equipment in the oil and gas industry. Overhaul and repair of large bore medium and low speed natural gas and diesel fired engines and natural gas compressors from most major manufacturers. Power generation engine driven generator installation and commissioning. I performed reciprocating, progressive cavity and centrifugal pump repair/rebuild/installations for a large customer base in a large territory. I performed plant maintenance for Exxon Mobile on a contract basis at a large upstream gas facility. With my main focus being on their compression and power generation maintenance needs. Provided customers in our territory with maintenance and repair on Aero-derivative natural gas fired turbine engines. Trained apprentices, and assumed the duties of the Branch manager on an interim basis when the Branch was left without a manager for an extended period.

During this period, I was employed as a Power Systems Mechanic. My primary duties were the maintenance and repair of natural gas and diesel fired engines in the oil and gas industry. I serviced a large customer base in north-eastern B.C. and Southern NWT. Planned and supervised large turnaround jobs and overhauls. A large part of my time in the field was spent in the commissioning and repair and maintenance of natural gas and diesel fired Caterpillar engines used in power generation for upstream gas facilities. I also provided service on a seasonal basis to the marine transportation industry on the Mackenzie and Liard rivers in the NWT. I Have experience in all of the Caterpillar engine families.
