I led over 100 Marines, taught martial arts, and was the operations chief for my unit. I was awarded the Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter and promoted Meritoriously to Sergeant by placing first in two separate and rigorous periods of testing out of hundreds of capable Marines stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. I built upon my instilled values by furthering my skills in Operations Management, Logistics, Leadership of many Marines, Discipline, and the list goes on. Upon receiving one of the highest honors of winning the Meritorious Sergeant Promotion Board for Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, my duties included:• Received the award ‘Supervisor of the Quarter’ for the majority of the Camp Lejeune Base for the first quarter of 2005• Was given the title of Operations Chief for my unit where I controlled all the distribution of resources for all operations including major deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan• Honorably received the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal for having an admirable record of good conduct, discipline and leadership• In charge of all incoming and outgoing equipment and personnel in support of the peace keeping mission in Monrovia, Liberia• Participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom (tasks are kept confidential)• Being in charge of planning and following through with all logistical support in my unit which included: manpower, trucks, all equipment needed, food, water, medical supplies, aircraft support and many other necessities needed by my Marines• Was the principal liaison that communicated with aircraft and Navy ships that might be needed for a specific operation
