Persistent: As a former year round basketball player I never took more than a week break between seasons. Playing and training every day without reward taught me to embrace the grind. I push through any activity or task even when it becomes a drag. Competitor: I always strive to win. Whether that be winning in an actual game, or simply getting a good grade I always want to be the best. In my basketball career I was never the most athletic, but I exploited every advantage I could get and outworked my opponents to win. My drive to perform is widespread amongst not only athletics, but school, work, and many other platforms.Leader: As a varsity basketball captain I led our team to a record of 26-8 and our first ever school history Sectional Championship. I built strong relationships with not only my teammates, but coaches as well to serve as a 3rd coach to the team. When necessary, I held others accountable and constructively criticized the team, including myself, to fix mistakes. Additionally, when the team or players performed well, I gave recognition to build team chemistry and moral. My experience leading others in athletics has transferred to real life interactions.
