I am a first-year Brock University student pursuing a Sport Management degree. In any place of employment, I bring a strong sense of community and teamwork; furthermore, I am a natural leader, ready to take on responsibility and challenges during my career. My skill set includes solid organizational abilities, dedication, and teamwork. Moreover, I have exceptional people skills, effectively interacting and communicating with customers, coworkers, and managers. I am working towards building and improving my professional network, as working in the sports industry often requires a well-developed networking cycle. Throughout my scholarly career, I’ve earned various awards. Examples include the Science and Technology Award, Ontario Gold Scholar, Honour Role, 3x Athlete of the Year Award, and the Dysart Award. I have substantial experience working in retail. Before enrolling at Brock University, I worked in the retail pet food sector for over two years, beginning in April 2021 and ending in September 2023. While working at Global Pet Foods, I took the initiative to learn about the industry and understand products. I prioritized customer service and gained a solid understanding of retail store operations such as customer transactions, cash flow, staff training and scheduling. As I pursue my degree at Brock University, I am also a men’s varsity wrestling team member. As a student-athlete, the mixture of athletics and academics develops a strong sense of time management, accountability, and goal setting. These skills and my leadership role at Global Pet Foods have set me up for success, allowing me to excel in my future employment.
