Starting in October of 2017, I launched my own website that would serve as a horror media hub. It's goal to be a safe place for horror, celebrating the genre and reviewing it through a congratulatory lens, rather than reductive.

As a Store Manager I oversee a team of employees, not only allowing myself to learn what it means to manage but also what it means to be a part of a team. Coming in to my store, I was able to bring the store rank up from 3900 to 2400 in less than a year. The shrink decreased almost three hundred percent and we ended up contributing in the top five in the Napa Valley/Sacramento area. Under my tutelage, a number of employees have been promoted up not only to Assistant Store Manager but Store Manager as well. Due to my high energy level and want to always "do more," my team and I have managed to create a smooth running cohesive business that allows me to reach out and extend into other areas of opportunity for the business as well, cross promoting with local businesses and aiding other stores with training and labor when needed.

As an assistant store manager it was my job to be the middle man between the manager and the team. I used communication and leadership skills to build a cohesive unit that ran smoothly and efficiently. Marketing skills and sales skills are not only a huge part of the position but essential to rising in the ranks, making sure that bi-weekly marketing was set, goals were set and strived for with both profit and effort categories and thinking outside the box to draw in new customers and excited existing customers.

Initially I would submit reviews for movies that were appropriate for the site but after a number of months and persistence, the editor started to entrust me with more responsibilities. I am now handle all comic book news and reviews on the site and continue to review new releases.

As a general laborer, it was required to be timely and work hard through out the day. Most jobs had time restrictions as well as a number of guide lines to follow so jobs had to be done efficiently and to a high standard.
