Working at Bunnings has provided me with a wealth of transferable skills across various departments, enabling me to excel in customer service, leadership, and operational management.In the on-the-floor departments, I prioritize customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service in areas such as plumbing, housing, trade, and electrical. Handling customer inquiries, both in person and over the phone, is a key aspect of my role, along with efficiently addressing and resolving any complaints regarding business operations, product availability, or team performance.My leadership abilities are demonstrated through my role as the night captain, where I serve as the second in charge. With extensive experience in the goods inwards team, I am entrusted with leading the night shift in the absence of direct supervision. This includes directing team members, ensuring stock tasks are completed, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and preparing for the next day's operations. Despite my leadership responsibilities, I remain actively engaged as a forklift driver and operational team member, contributing to the efficient functioning of the Goods Inwards department.Within Goods Inwards, I am entrusted with a range of responsibilities, including unloading and loading trucks, ensuring the safety of team members and truck drivers in the yard, processing invoices and purchase orders, organizing deliveries, pallet wrapping and strapping, replenishing shelves, and maintaining overall organization and tidiness. Additionally, I handle customer orders with care, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.My ability to independently organize and manage deliveries underscores the trust placed in me by my colleagues and supervisors. Through my dedication and attention to detail, I consistently uphold the high standards of efficiency and professionalism expected at Bunnings.
