- Conducted a variety of experiments/projects while working with the chemical technologists. These projects included spray drying, roto evaporation, titrations, vacuum filtration, moisture analysis, fermentation, freeze-drying, reverse osmosis, HPLC, and micro biology testing- Completed research into sub-critical extraction, super-critical extraction and other extraction techniques- Was involved in many meetings and phone conferences about current and upcoming projects - Other duties consisted of developing equipment lists, filling out purchase orders and cleaning to ensure proper sanitation

- Worked under the supervision of Dr. William Whelan on a project using Raman Spectroscopy to monitor and optimize beer flavour and quality- Completed research into Raman spectroscopy and how it is used to identify certain chemical bonds, specifically in plant material such as hops- Used Solidworks 3D modelling to develop an attachment for the Raman laser in order to analyze plant leaves during the growing process

- Was responsible for correcting and grading students assignments, projects and presentations- Met with students with any concerns about assignments/projects - Assisted Professors Matt Hall and Wayne Peters with any other tasks as needed
