I am employed as a supervisor working for a professional cleaning company that specialises in the cleaning of data centres around the UK and Europe. My key responsibilities included, working with site management to promote a safe working environment for my team and other site workers. I joined Sainsburys whilst still in education, and after qualifying, I continued in a full-time role. Starting as a customer service assistant with general duties, I soon began running the checkouts in the absence of the team leaders, and then I progressed through the company to become a store supervisor. My duties in this role included looking after day to day processes of the department, adopting a duty manager role in the absence of the store manager, and ensuring that customer and colleague needs were met.
