Supervise a group of 20-30 intermodal company truck drivers while developing professional, working relationships. Directly manage and impact productivity, turnover, safety and discipline for my fleet of drivers Responsible for drivers Department of Transportation as well as JB Hunt policy compliance Enforcing driver log compliance and Hours of Service rules. Monitor transit times to ensure on time appointments at customer locations to insure best possible service. Directly handle the fleet payroll on weekly basis while correcting any past discrepancies Monitor company equipment, and perform team inspections to ensure all safety compliance was met prior to operation Perform administrative functions to include scheduling, routing, driver counseling, accident reviews, annual reviews and other regular reports Answer phone calls, onboard computer messages and emails daily, from drivers, customers and/or internal company personnel to resolve any issues with equipment, or service to meet customer satisfaction Perform hazmat briefings with drivers to insure DOT compliance and meet all safety standards Maintain company safety culture to include daily safety messages, monthly driver safety briefings and assign driver training based on employees needs and safety record. Operate in fast paced, ever changing environment to quickly make decisions in time sensitive situations to resolve issues with safety in mind to avoid company and DOT violations.
