Managed the development of the site OEE system to better track downtime and increase productivity. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Mapleton maintenance department and site utility department. Duties include: oversight of approximately 50 employees (salaried and union hourly) and ~20 contractor employees daily, and management and review of total annual operating budget of ~$ 21,000,000. Led restructuring of the maintenance management staff to provide better service to the site, and improve reliability programs. Implemented a mechanical integrity program which included creation of a master critical equipment list, PM developments and assignments, increase of the PM completion rate, and required documentation for PSM covered processed & equipment. Site equipment includes: batch reactors, continuous distillation columns, water purification systems and supporting auxiliary equipment (piping/tracing, centrifugal pumps, liquid ring vacuum pumps, heat exchangers, steam boilers, hot oil systems, cooling systems, etc.). Served as site Contractor Management Officer. Responsible for managing all contractors on site including Welding, Pipefitting, Electricians, Instrumentation, Scaffolding, Insulation, Heater/Boiler tech, and HVAC. Served as Site Energy Management Officer. Reduced consumption of natural gas by completing the installation of a condensing economizer in the plant steam boiler system. Implemented site steam trap survey program which has further reduced the steam and natural gas consumption.
