I am a second-year Computing Science student at the Singapore Institute of Technology, jointly offered by the University of Glasgow.In the final year of my diploma studies at Singapore Polytechnic, I undergo a four months internship position under the Housing and Development Board. I was delighted to be able to apply the knowledge I gained in school and use the skills I acquired to aid the IT team in making decisions.As an IT intern under HDB, I was tasked to conduct trials on 3 low-code/no-code application platforms. For example, K2 Blackpearl, Opentext Appworks, and Microsoft Powerapps. These platforms would allow the team to be able to create applications with little to no coding knowledge. This project was for their consideration to replace HDB's current platform, IBM Notes, at that time. I presented the findings, including hands-on demonstrations (live onsite & self-recorded videos), to the Project Team, headed by the Director & Deputy Director of the Corporate Information Systems Department.During my National Service, I studied basic IOT knowledge and skills via online courses from Coursera and Huawei ICT Academy. I'm interested in what the Computing Science degree has for me for the rest of the years in school.
