As an 18 year old, I was part of the Australian Cricket Academy (1997/98) and played for the Gold Coast Dolphins and Runaway Bay from September 1997 to March 1998. I moved to New Zealand in 1999 and took on the role of Development Officer with the Western Bay of Plenty Cricket Association. I was responsible for contacting schools to organise clinics and assemble a team of coaches to co-ordinate the delivery of the programs. In 2002 I was a coach for New Zealand Milo Cricket which visited 1160 primary schools and had over 82,000 children participated in the program. From 2002 to 2004 I was the coach of The Mount College’s first XI boys, first Xl girls and the junior college boys cricket teams. Throughout my cricket career I have been very privileged to have had some amazing coaches. I am passionate about passing on the knowledge and skills I have learnt to help develop the next generation.
