I led a Joint Base help desk that managed 13 commodities across four branches of service, to include: secure/non-secure network, telephones (VoIP & POTS), computers, Black Berries, UHF/VHF radios, Giant Voice, and Land Mobile Radios. We were vital in ensuring 24 hour communications support, and 100% communications up-time, for 8K users and 51 C-17 aircraft.

Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina

• Responsible for planning and managing all Defense Base Closure and Realignment Commission (BRAC) telecommunications projects for the Air Force Base (AFB) and Naval Weapons Station (NWS) merger. Lobbied with Air.
• Managed $1.1M OC-192 SONET ring project. Increased bandwidth between AFB and NWS 192 times, while establishing a joint network and saving $1M annually.
• Implemented $1.45M Air Force and Navy joint Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system. Integrated two systems and saved Department of Defense (DoD) $467K.
• Led engineering of $373K IP-based Pan/Tilt/Zoom camera solution. Meshed new and existing cameras while allowing 100% flight line coverage for $12B worth of C-17s.
• Managed AFB/NWS IT maintenance contracts. Directly responsible for three support contracts consisting of over 21 personnel valued at $355K annually.

Moron Air Base, Spain

• Provided 24/7 IT support to National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) space shuttle, F-22, and C-5 missions. Troubleshot, installed, and maintained over 1200 LMR’s, PC’s, printers, VoIP telephones, and.
• Directed five work centers. Scheduled equipment Operations and Maintenance (O&M) actions in association with base mission priority plans and operational directives.
• Maintained $1.2M LMR system, managed $6.5M worth of communications assets, eradicated 3.1K cyber network vulnerabilities, and repaired 383 network/telephone outages.
• Drove Armed Forces Network (AFN) radio tower installation. Improved coverage 15% and saved $80K in recurring contractor costs.
• Provided tier 1/2/3 IT support for four NASA shuttle missions, the first ever F-22 mission to the Middle East, and the aircraft surges supporting 268 volcanic ash diversion flights

Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany

• Oversaw 14 IT projects worth $65M. Developed and planned IT systems for 18 geographically separated units. Performed mission review for architectural, integration, interoperability and impact on infrastructure to.
• Project manager for North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO) $35M Weapons Storage and Security System (WS3) program. Replaced antiquated munitions weapons sensors at three Geographically Separated Units (GSUs).
• Lead project manager for $21M Joint Force Protection Advanced Security System (JFPASS). First ever DoD base to acquire this base/asset protection system.
• Government project officer for $1.5M Communication and Information (C&I) infrastructure upgrade. Provided secure data path with the installation of 2K feet of Fiber Optic (FO) cable.
• Managed $1.6M Technical Control Facility (TCF) upgrade. Digitized 14 analog circuits and saved critical man-hours by allowing remote access maintenance.
• Implemented $1.8M Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) roll-out. Provided Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches/phones for first ever USAF-wide integrated solution.
