Manage insurance defense caseload with an emphasis in motor vehicle litigation (first and third party claims), premises liability, products liability and general liability claims.

Supervise General Claims staff handling of insurance defense litigation. Work with and monitor outside defense counsel to develop and implement litigation strategies. Assist General Claims staff with legal and coverage issues, with an emphasis on out-of-state claims. Review and respond to regulatory and consumer complaints filed against NJM with the NJ Department of Banking and Insurance (DOBI). Review Special Investigations Unit (SIU) reports and issue claims handling/underwriting recommendations based upon the result of SIU investigations. Prepare summaries for General Claims staff of relevant legal developments, including case law, statutory and regulatory updates. Participate in committee meetings with senior management to review high value cases.
