Supporting the North Florida, Central Florida, South Florida, and Puerto Rico Regions of the American Red Cross in the Southeast, Caribbean, and Carolinas Division.

Coordinate the functions of the general staff positions at the State Emergency Operations Center during disasters. During blue-sky, liaise with the emergency coordination officers of state agencies, oversee the Regional Coordination Team and Recovery Regional Coordination Team, coordinate the implementation of improvement plans from after-action reports, and engage with inter-bureau and inter-agency disaster preparedness initiatives of the division.

Oversee the All-Hazards Unit and serve as the Primary Point-of-Contact for the State Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. The All-Hazards Unit coordinates planning elements including Continuity Planning, contingency planning, and coordinating with local and non-governmental partners on capabilities.Also serve as the Planning Section Chief for the State Emergency Response Team; with the primary function of providing situational awareness to the State Emergency Operations Center and document operational period objectives and activities.

Oversee various projects and day-to-day activities for the Operations Section, the Division, and the SERT. Manage the State Watch Office to ensure timely and accurate situational awareness dissemination, and maintain 24/7 readiness of the State EOC.During State Emergency Response Team Activation, serve on the SEOC floor to facilitate coordination between Human Services, Emergency Services, Infrastructure, Air Operations, and their various Emergency Support Functions.Also serve as an assistant Safety Officer and as an Intelligence Liaison Officer to the Florida Fusion Center.

Maintains awareness of all natural, technological, and manmade hazards that are impacting or have the potential to impact the State of Florida through the use of data feeds, news broadcasts, social media, and direct reports received by government officials and private citizens. Collects and categorizes information from external customers using provided questions and standard operating procedures in a timely and professional manner. Documents incident information in computer-based applications, generates reports, and provides warning and notification to Local and State officials. Communicates incident information and emergency response actions to local, state, and federal officials using established systems, including telephone, facsimile, interoperable radio, the National Warning System (NAWAS), the Emergency Management Network (EMnet), Hot Ringdown Telephones and other converged voice and data networks.Conducts tests of Watch Office communications systems and related equipment on a regular basis to ensure operational readiness.Assists with administrative and operational matters as necessary to support 24-hour situational awareness, warning operations, and the State Emergency Operations Center.

BJA is an economic consultancy firm that primarily works with governmental agencies involved in public utility regulation.I analysed financial information and testimony concerning those regulations and produced workpapers in support of the BJA position. My calculations generally included some form of cost-benefit analysis with the use of tools such as Microsoft Excel.
