The world is my office. Right now: Fishhook, Alaska. Previously Montana, Seattle, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Nevada, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Asheville, Austin, and Mississippi. I turn 20 steps into 2 for medical technology companies using biosignal processing, automation, and machine learning. In my first quarter as research coordinator of an at-home sleep study I increased subject retention by 48.1%, increased data return by 32.1%, and cut costs by 56%. I did so by inventing custom software tools to automate data uploads (30 minute process → 3 seconds), conduct pre-screening (30 minute process → 5 minutes), and print shipping labels (1 hour → 10 minutes).The future of brain computer interfaces (BCIs) lies not in brains or computers but in interfaces. I strive to interface neuroscientists, machine learning engineers, and the rest of the world.Experience throughout the medical device lifecycle, from startup R&D (Elemind Technologies, EEG-enabled non-invasive neurostimulation wearable) to clinical (Thermo Fisher Scientific, tools for gene therapy) to mass production (Pfizer, biotechnology).
