I operate a 2500 acre crop farm in South central MN. On the farm, we continue to be a leader in trialing different practices to give our farm the best R.O.I.. Currently, we are doing field trials with the University of Minnesota with cover crops and mechanical hammer mill which is attached to the rear of the combine to destroy any weed seed that passes through it. Along with trials in new Biotech products available. As CFO, I have 17 year history of all income/expenses items, broken down to each acre. To go along with 5 and 8 year trend charts. We also track each field individually to know not only our farms r.o.i., but the r.o.i. on each field individually.

BEMZ farm group is made up of 5 individual families that have ownership over 3 separate farms. The owners worked together to cost share equipment to do in field operations to grow crops on their 3 respective farms. With all the owners financially invested, we have developed a model in which we can utilize the most state of the art, efficient equipment to grow crops on our farms. In doing this we have negated the lack of quality help we previously needed to farm individually. All while producing more per acre than before with the use of new technology and equipment.
