I have spent the past four years studying Business Information Technology with a focus on Operations and Supply Chain Management at Virginia Tech. During those four years, I found myself engaged with different leadership opportunities and immersed myself with student engagement. Upon graduation, I immediately began work in Atlanta, GA with Norfolk Southern Corporation and quickly got up to speed on the inner workings of the railroad. As a trainee in the Operations and Service Support department, I developed leadership skills and helped a team of managers oversee a group of union representatives. I honed my skills with Microsoft Excel, and learned the ins and outs of the TYES inventory system in order to better manage reps using that same software. Upon completion of my training period, I was promoted to a position as Supervisor Unit Train Services in the Unit Train Services department. My work at Norfolk Southern has provided an excellent introduction to management, behavioral based leadership, and how to work with a team of managers to obtain results beneficial in the bigger picture.
Listed skills include Leadership, Management, Customer Service, Microsoft Excel, and 10 others.
