• Negotiate and manage freight contracts and performance• Develop and track key performance indicators for all departments and report to C-level executives including sales and gross margins, inventory turns, GMROI, freight tracking and other metrics• Create ad hoc reports at the request of C-level executives • Utilize Power Pivot and Power BI to analyze large data sets and present to C-level executives• Develop and implement supply strategies to achieve best cost, quality, and delivery objectives• Oversee distribution warehouse operations and logistics• Train and mentor team members• Negotiate with suppliers and service providers and manage vendor relations• Assist Buyers with supply strategies, vendor setup and logistics, order points and quantities, inventory management, etc.

• Negotiate with vendors on pricing and service contracts• Direct the product selection, purchasing, merchandising, and operations within assigned departments for a chain of 17 stores with annual sales of over $300 million and over $110 million in assigned departments• Develop and implement promotional plans and execute purchasing and merchandising of ad items• Develop and utilize sales reports to evaluate product selection and placement, as well as holding costs and other operational analysis• Develop and utilize inventory reports and analysis using SQL database and Power Pivot• Work with implementation of a perpetual inventory system along with corresponding audit reports and procedures• Negotiate contracts with vendors that have resulted in increased sales and profit• Monitor department performance at all stores and assist in training and implementation of programs• Extensive work in Excel developing formulas and macros to pull sales and inventory data in order to produce orders that minimize out of stocks and maximize sales and inventory turns• Source best price and service from competing vendors and monitor vendor performance
