Promoting continuous improvement of environmental/sustainability and quality performance on specific projects. These projects involve on site visits and carrying out audits in line with BREEAM/DREAM, ISO14001/ISO9001 and CCS.Working towards net zero carbon through correct implementation of KPI’s and targets for each individual project. Monitoring environmental performance of sites and producing a monthly report, this includes handling and reviewing all ESOS info and also carbon data to cover waste, water, energy and fuel use across scope 1,2 &3.

Delivering workshops on environmental issues and carrying out surveys and audits with regards to environmental policy and sustainability.

Through my university work placement, I travelled to rural Uganda for 3 months. Using the sustainable development goals as an educational framework, I created and hosted workshops on leadership and sustainable development, in a local school, university and organisation. I also hosted classes in English, Irish, French, European history & culture. I partook in sustainability ventures within the local community, these included solar panel maintenance, treating rain water and building accommodation. Throughout my time in Uganda, I had to create a research project to complete a university module, my research was titled ‘Understanding sustainability : local visions of a global concept’. This involved me creating interviews for the local community and from that, trying to better understand their relationship and opinion on sustainability from their perspective. Upon completion of this report, I shared my findings with URF and how they can best coordinate potential additions within the organisation.

My 3 month university placement at Climate NI consisted of researching global best practice in carbon intensity indicators, working with Climate NI Mitigation Officer to better understand the specific needs for Northern Ireland and extensive research of the role of carbon intensity indicators in different sectors in NI i.e. local councils in particular. At the end of my placement I produced a report outlining recommendations for Northern Ireland in how to improve carbon recording and achieving best practice. This involved heavy use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Worked closely with NIE (Electricity provider in NI) in the recording, capture and upkeep of new and existing electricity cables in the north. This entailed pre-site visits, going out to a site a few days prior and making sure it was suitable for the job to go ahead, ensuring it passed appropriate safety measures. Upon the electric cable being laid, I would then have used a state of the art GPS machine (Trimble handheld) to record the location of the cable which was immediately uploaded to the network, allowing for a fast, accurate and detailed record of the new work. The independent nature of site-visits combined with communication within morrows and NIE show my ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team. Construction skills register (CSR) card until 2025.

This job was a combination of at desk and on-site visits. In charge of keeping record of gas projects for PNG, producing an accurate and clear record of old and new gas projects in Northern Ireland. Attention to detail and independent thinking being a critical part in my daily tasks when out on site. Upon the capture of the necessary data on-site, I then had to work against a time scale to have a record of the jobs digitally (Arc Map 10). Interaction with customers on a daily basis allowed me to be approachable and friendly to insure the customers experience is an excellent one.

Using GIS, CAD SIS for the review, capture and edit of spatial information on land registry digitisation. I transfer handwritten data into geo-spatial capture, creating a visual for property owners & businesses. Thus, allowing for easier access to information to land rights and ownership. I have also worked on Heathrow runway expansion and HS2 projects. With LARS, ArcMap/GIS and geo-spatial capture I captured data which allowed for the company to effectively and efficiently alert nearby residents to the proposed plans. Undertaking and managing quality control on captured datasets under time restraints and weekly targets.

Front of house, customer relations role, working within a large, diverse team to ensure an optimized, positive experience for each individual customer in-store.Generation of sales- loyalty card schemes, event sign-ups, up-selling additional products.

During my work placement at Bombardier I was given the opportunity to be a part of the Methods team. This allowed me to gain hands on experience within the company. I was given a project to complete during my time at Bombardier which allowed me to fit in as part of the large working team and participate in group meetings and help achieve basic weekly targets.

Working with young people in community gardens in Niamey, Africa. Voluntary work in a project supported by the German Development Service (DED). I thoroughly enjoyed this experience as it gave me a glimpse into a completely different way of life and introduced me into various languages and cultures, which would inevitably lead to my studies at university.
