Providing high quality , sustainable, and trauma informed environments for the people I work with is what drives me.I grew up on the outskirts of London in a socialist family where the principles of equality, freedom, and equitable distribution of wealth and material resources were part of my upbringing and became intrinsic to my own value base. My own life has had its ups and downs , with various jobs and some personal struggles which brought me to Gloucestershire in 2008.As a person with lived experience I joined CCP in 2009 as a volunteer, working my way up to my current my role. My life experiences alongside my professional experience across CCP services gives me the drive and passion to provide quality homes and spaces for individuals to thrive in, not just survive in. Psychologically informed, trauma aware, safe and personalised environments are essential, not just for the people we serve but everyone at CCP. Proud to be part of CCP.My big three currently are • Involvement in the launch of Chelpods, proving people experiencing homelessness and deemed difficult to accommodate in existing systems with safety, privacy, dignity and an address via a single person habitable semi-portable home. • One Small Thing Bronze Working with Trauma Quality Mark recognises organisations who can evidence they meet a robust, accessible, and supportive set of standards for working with trauma and CCP’s organisational plans in place ready to implement trauma informed practice.• Working alongside Positive Planet taking action to become a more environmentally sustainable organisation, producing a carbon reduction plan protecting our planet for future generations
