Responsibilities include coverage of the entire Cisco portfolio, with an emphasis on Enterprise Networking/Wireless and Data Center.Major focus on tying patient and clinician experience, to technology, in order to deliver better healthcare. Englewood Co

Pre-sales engineer supporting Charter Communications, the nation’s 4th largest cable MSO. Assignments include Corporate Engineering, Data Center/IT and West Coast Field Operations, covering the full breadth of Cisco’s product line. Assisted Charter with all phases of new service creation, including design, lab testing, field trials and production rollouts. Major project highlights include full Data Center migration to Nexus 7k/5k/2k, WAAS testing and insertion for remote offices, UCS validation for data center and head end usage, cellular back haul and circuit emulation certification, QoS deployment throughout the entire network, large scale outdoor, small business and hospitality focused wireless deployment, IPv6 preparation and MPLS/L2TPv3 based Layer 2 VPN offering creation. In the position of field support, met with Charter’s prospective new customers to help size and design networks sold and supported by Charter Business. Also assisted Charter’s sales engineers and support staff with migration efforts and upgrade decisions for their large existing customer base

Commercial Network architecture and design for many large scale commercial customers. Responsibilities including requirements gathering and ground up network design of LAN, WAN and some SAN for both internet and internal facing environments. IBM Internal network architecture for official IBM offerings such as E-business Web Hosting, Managed Storage Services, Boulder Campus LAN and On Demand Computing Services. Responsibilities include development of new and enforcement of existing network architectures for the above listed offerings.

Network support for the IBM E-Business server farms. Initial setup and steady state support of large web hosting server farm. Responsibilities include network build and administration encompassing switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers and various other network devices. Also responsible for multiple platform system administration and troubleshooting including AIX, Solaris, Linux, and all Windows OS. For the latter 3 of the 4 years on this team, I was 3rd level support and infrastructure team lead.

Provided end user support to 1,000 users throughout Larimer County. Responsibilities included junior level network administration as well as PC hardware and software support. Technologies used included Novell Netware, Windows NT (Certified) and TCP/IP. Also built computers from the ground up as well as replacing hardware from national vendors.
