  • Fathom Optics
    Software Engineer Intern
    Fathom Optics Jul 2016 - Aug 2016
    Somerville, Massachusetts, Us
Fathom Optics (at the time named Lumii), a winner of Mass Challenge accelerator, is a startup innovating 3D displays. During my internship, I was at the brand new Autodesk BUILD incubator at Drydock in Boston, MA. I was trained through the Autodesk safety program and completed projects in electronics, 3D printing, laser cutting, and software. I used javascript (Three.js, Node.js, Express) to create a tool that pulls solved 3D-patterns from the internal database (Mongo) and renders a preview of what the 3D effect will look like once the patterns are printed out.

    Rocket Software Jul 2015 - Aug 2015
    Waltham, Ma, Us
Rocket Software is a company that develops tools for massive systems that run on mainframes. At Rocket, I created a proof of concept web UI for a z/OS database cloning tool during a four week internship. In doing this I learned the fundamentals of Java, SQL, HTML, JS, z/OS and how to communicate between a stack of technology.

Westwood Robotics Summer Camp Jul 2012 - Aug 2013
Westwood Robotics Summer camp was created by me to share my passion for robotics and programming. I designed a one week course in programming, robotics, and design fundamentals. I taught this course in multiple sessions over the summer. In this course, I also promoted the First Lego League robotics competition, which encourages elementary and middle schoolers to get involved in collaborative STEM problem solving. This experience showed me the challenges and rewards of teaching and knowledge transfer.
