I helped the growing community of Park Rapids, MN reach its potential by leading its City organization. I worked with guidance from the Mayor, City Council, and community members to be the "Chief Administrative Officer of the City." Park Rapids is the central hub of the "Heartland Lakes" region. Located approximately 85 miles east of Fargo, ND, 45 miles south of Bemidji, MN, 155 miles west of Duluth MN, and 189 miles north of Minneapolis,MN. The City has an estimated population of 4,193 people; however, Park Rapids has nearly 15,000 people who work and conduct business in the community, and nearly 60,000 who are seasonal residents who visit our community and enjoy the lakes, paved and natural trails, parks, and wildlife. Park Rapids has an annual general fund budget of +/- $3.5 million. 37+/-full time positions. 26 volunteer firefighters, Award winning general aviation airport with a 5,500 foot primary runway. Advanced Police and Fire, services, a beautiful park system, lively downtown, active industrial park, and a vibrant arts community.
